Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about shipping between Turkey and the UK
How long does road freight take from Turkey to the UK?
Typical transit time for groupage trailers is 7–10 days from Istanbul to the UK. Full load trailers can be faster — 6–8 days — depending on route, customs and seasonal demand.
Do you offer groupage or only full-load services?
Both. We run regular groupage trailers for small consignments, part-load services for mid-sized shipments and dedicated full-load trailers for larger or urgent moves. You only pay for the space you use.
Do I need an ATR certificate for Turkey–UK trade?
An ATR certificate allows preferential treatment for industrial goods under the UK–Turkey Free Trade Agreement. We can advise on eligibility and prepare the certificate as part of our customs service.
What documents are required for import clearance?
You will typically need: commercial invoice, packing list, CMR or bill of lading, EORI number of the importer, ATR/EUR.1 if claiming preference and any commodity-specific certificates (e.g. health, IPAFFS for food).
Do you offer 24/7 customs clearance?
Yes. We operate 24/7 customs clearance at Dover and other UK ports, so trailers arriving outside office hours can be cleared without delay.
Can you handle hazardous, perishable or temperature-controlled cargo?
Yes. We work with carriers that provide ADR for hazardous goods and temperature-controlled trailers for perishables, pharmaceuticals and other sensitive cargo.
Do you provide warehousing in the UK?
Yes. We have bonded and standard warehouses with pick-and-pack, pallet distribution and devanning. Goods can be held for short-term overflow or long-term stock buffering.
